Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® can be used on stainless, duplex and chromium-molybdenum steels & titanium alloys.

The Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® allows dams to be cut easily with the safety knife provided and produces an impenetrable purge barrier which can easily be washed away during hydrostatic testing of the pipe or just by normal wash-out.

Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® and Argweld® Water Soluble Super Adhesive® are ideally suitable for welding where it is not possible to retrieve the purge dam after the joint is complete.

The Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® dissolves to molecular level leaving no traces. There are no fibres, as there are with paper products, that can clog up filters or other sensitive parts in systems.

Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® and Argweld® Water Soluble Super Adhesive® are approved for use in Nuclear and Aerospace Environments.

Trace element certification is available to show that Argweld® Water Soluble Weld Purge Film® does not contain any harmful elements and that the quantity of halides is well below the permissible levels. The film and adhesive are completely biodegradable and all packaging materials are recyclable.
